Novothink just introduced the first solar charger approved by Apple for its iPhone and iPod Touch. Second skin for the iPhone, the Surge is both extra battery (120% more endurance than the iPhone) and charger. It adds ~ 200g on the scales. And where solar energy is not sufficient, the Surge can plug into a USB port.

The Surge should be available in several colors for $ 70. For now, only the U.S. release date is known (late September), it remains to be seen whether the Atlantic will mark a boundary impenetrable for this product.
