How to Solve the Touchpad Troubles?

The most sensitive area of your notebook is the touchpad. Also, it is a very important element in your laptop and hard to replace. Is the trackpad on your laptop or netbook slow your work down? It sure did for me! Unless a laptop your main computer, you may have difficulty moving a mouse on your main machine the little touchpad on your laptop.
I know that many people find difficult to use trackpads. They are prone to button by accident that you send your mouse cursor across the screen. This can be a huge pain to do specific work such as copying and pasting large chunks of text or any graphic design work.
The best way to solve this problem is to simply connect an external mouse. Many people find external mouse easier to use, more comfortable and more accurate.
You have two options, with or without cord. Wired Keyboards are cheap and easy to find and buy. Almost everyone has an extra mouse dragging. The downside is the cord. It is usually much too long to be used on a laptop and often gets tangled or caught on objects.
Wireless mouse on the other hand are free from any thread and very compact. Many of them have a dongle that stores directly into the mouse itself when not in use. Just take out the dongle, plug it into a USB port and you're ready to go. The big drawback to wireless mice is that they require batteries. The newer versions require only one AA battery monkey, but it can be a real problem when the battery dies right when you're done important work. Carrying an extra battery or using rechargeable batteries can help this issue.
A good trick that really helped me when using an external mouse on my netbook is go into the mouse settings and set the option to disable the trackpad when external mouse is plugged in. This will eliminate accidental trackpad button. A feature simple but very useful!
An external mouse plugged into your laptop can really make a difference in usability. Stop struggling with your touchpad and give it a try. I bet you will not be able to go back!
