Protect The LCD screen for outdoor applications

The use of LCD screens and digital advertising spread in a dramatic way in recent years. The cost of this technology have continued to fall but it seems that their use is stabilizing.

There are billboards in various locations and all kinds of applications, information kiosks in malls to interactive bulletin boards in schools, colleges and hospitals.

A growing sectors in the field of display panels is the use of LCD screens outside. However, this presents a challenge because at these early signs were not designed for outdoor use and therefore must protect against the 4 elements.

Many manufacturers actually provide these LCD displays for outdoor use: they are impervious to rain. However, they often are not adequately protected against extreme temperatures, summer or winter.

LCDs for outdoor use are also very expensive. Although they should last as long as a standard product if they were placed under optimum conditions, the 4 elements will shorten the lifespan of these devices especially with the heat generated by sunlight and with temperatures below 0 degrees (winter).

A solution cheaper and less flexible is to use a standard screen installed in a housing LCD "any time". An enclosure for outdoor use LCD protects the screen that contained the 4 elements, the latter including direct sunlight and extreme temperatures (which can occur in both summer and winter).

These cabinets hardened for outdoor use are equipped with heating modules and fan controlling the temperature. They protect against vandalism and theft, so you can leave your digital sign outside unattended or in places where there is nobody around.
